Aalap has spent more than 20 years running technology inside large enterprises and building it in start-ups. At Unilever he was the IT business partner for a global identity and access programme with a €12 million budget, covering more than 200,000 users.
At Hindustan Unilever he led SAP rollouts across manufacturing units and won global CIO recognition for an SAP BI recommendation engine used by more than 18,000 salespeople. Most recently he co-founded Lexacon and, as its CTO, built an AI platform for construction commercial management.
It used modular agents and retrieval-augmented generation over more than 100,000 documents, with model routing chosen for cost, speed and data residency. Earlier, as a project manager for IBM at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, he rolled out more than 25,000 devices and an enterprise security programme in a high-compliance hospital.
Aalap leads AI engagements across the Middle East and Africa. He holds the PMP and advises the Project Management Institute on how AI is changing software delivery.
