The Role

What you will do

Guide clients through AI transformation across strategy, implementation, and governance. Your specific focus depends on your expertise.

Strategy and advisory

Assess client readiness for AI adoption. Identify high-value use cases. Design deployment roadmaps that connect AI capabilities to business outcomes. Build investment cases and establish governance frameworks.

Implementation and delivery

Translate strategy into execution alongside client teams. Select technologies, design integration approaches, and ensure solutions work within existing enterprise environments.

Compliance and risk

Navigate the regulatory landscape: ISO standards, national AI safety regulations, data privacy requirements, responsible AI frameworks. Address algorithmic bias, security risks, and governance.

Client relationships

Serve as the primary advisor to senior stakeholders. Lead workshops. Present findings. Build long-term relationships where clients return because they value your judgment.

Practice development

Contribute to Exec x AI's thought leadership. Develop methodologies. Mentor others. Build your own practice area around the expertise that distinguishes you.

How You'll Work

The model adapts to your life, not the other way around

☀️Morning

Review your pipeline in the Exec x AI platform. Check messages from your Regional Sales Director about two new qualified leads. Join a strategy call with a client exploring AI governance frameworks.

🔬Midday

Deep work on a deployment roadmap for a manufacturing client. Your methodology templates and compliance frameworks are ready — focus on the strategic insights that only you can provide.

🎯Afternoon

Present findings to a client's C-suite. Run a workshop on responsible AI principles. Your £10M PI insurance and Exec x AI credentials give the room confidence.

Your terms

Finish at 3pm for school pickup. Work a 4-day week. Take a month between engagements. The model adapts to your life — not the other way around.

Returning to work after a break?

This role works part-time or full-time. You set your own hours. No minimum utilisation. No mandatory travel. No expectation that you pretend the break didn't happen. Start with one client. Build from there.

Our consultants include parents who work school hours, carers who need flexibility around appointments, and professionals returning on their own terms.

This is a commission-based role. Your income scales with the engagements you deliver. We are direct about that because variable income is not right for everyone. Our lead generation system and Regional Sales Directors provide a qualified pipeline — you are not starting from zero.

We look for four core capabilities. Where you gained them is secondary.

Client delivery experience

You've led or substantially contributed to consulting engagements, transformation projects, or advisory programmes. At a consulting firm, technology vendor, in-house digital team, government department, startup, or anywhere you delivered change.

Senior stakeholder relationships

You are someone that senior people trust. You've worked directly with board members, C-suite executives, department heads, programme sponsors.

AI and digital transformation awareness

You understand how AI, data, and digital technologies create business value. You don't need to be a data scientist — you need credibility across technical and business audiences.

Commercial instinct

You understand how consulting work is sold and delivered. You can spot opportunities and shape proposals. This doesn't require formal sales training — it means you understand value creation.

Experience that strengthens your application

You do not need all of these. They represent the range of backgrounds that make strong candidates.

8+ years in consulting, technology advisory, digital transformation, or a related field

Expertise in AI strategy, responsible AI/governance, process optimisation, data strategy, operating models, or change management

Experience in primary industries (agriculture, energy, mining) or secondary industries (manufacturing, logistics, construction, utilities)

Professional qualifications, certifications, or continuous learning in relevant areas

Experience building a practice, launching a service line, or entrepreneurial environments

What we do not require

An MBA or specific degree. Experience at a named firm. A linear career path. Previous commission-based experience. An unbroken employment history. If you have done the work, built the relationships, and delivered results — you are qualified.
