The data is sourced from the Exec x AI Agent, which scans the internet for AI-regulation news, summarises each item, and geocodes the regulation to the closest city of relevance — the capital where the rule is country-level, the responsible city where it is sub-national. Where a jurisdiction has both an enacted rule and a pending bill, both appear as separate dots.
Authority over AI in a sector is earned by knowing the regulators by name and citing them correctly. The Atlas is not a library of country pages. It is an editorial argument that the law on AI is now plural, asynchronous, and read by the wrong people too late.
We are probably not for you if you want a single dashboard that scores jurisdictions on a one-to-ten scale. The map declines that compression. It shows you what was published, by whom, when, and what the practical effect on a regulated firm is. The judgement is yours to make.

AI Governance Legislation — what we track
Statutes, regulations, supervisory standards, technical rulebooks, ministry directives, and judicial orders that bear directly on AI development, deployment, or oversight. RAG buckets are assigned by enactment horizon; statuses are recomputed on every scan.
Repeal lexicon — instruments removed from force
The backend monitor scans the same source list daily for these terms applied to any tracked instrument. When a hit is confirmed by an official source, the instrument is reclassified as repealed and rendered in slate. Repealed instruments do not appear as red (in force) on the map under any condition.

Instruments confirmed as repealed, rescinded, revoked, withdrawn, superseded, vacated, or otherwise removed from force are reclassified to slate and excluded from the red (in force) category.
