AI Relations Manager — Africa
About the role
S.AI.L is looking for an AI Relations Manager to build and grow our client base across Africa. You will be the commercial face of S.AI.L on the continent, identifying and developing relationships with enterprise clients at the forefront of AI adoption — across sectors including financial services, telecommunications, agriculture, energy, and government. Africa represents one of the fastest-growing AI markets globally and we are building here with conviction
What you will do
Identify, qualify, and develop relationships with C-suite and senior executive buyers at enterprise organisations across Sub-Saharan Africa and North Africa
Develop a pipeline of AI transformation advisory opportunities across target sectors including financial services, telecoms, energy, and government
Lead initial client conversations, articulate S.AI.L's value proposition, and translate business challenges into scoped advisory engagements
Work with Principal AI Consultants to develop proposals and support the closing of commercial agreements
Build and maintain a strong professional network in the African AI, technology, and consulting ecosystem
Represent S.AI.L at industry events, roundtables, and public forums across the continent
Provide market intelligence to help shape service positioning and Africa go-to-market strategy
What we are looking for
A proven track record of developing and closing complex, high-value advisory or professional services engagements with enterprise clients on the African continent
Deep professional network across C-suite and senior executive buyers in one or more African markets
Understanding of the African business landscape including regional economic communities, regulatory environments, and technology adoption dynamics
Genuine understanding of enterprise AI, data, and digital transformation
Experience in a consultancy, technology firm, or professional services environment
Eligibility to work in an African country without visa sponsorship
French, Swahili, or other African language skills are advantageous
Compensation
This is a commission-based role. AI Relations Managers retain 70% of the net fees generated from engagements they originate and close. At target utilisation, this represents a material improvement over equivalent base-plus-bonus structures at traditional consulting firms. There is no upper cap on earnings
